All the world’s a stage and
if you’ve had a bad life up until this point, worry not. I’ve got you covered.
If you’ve ever heard about “Mirror neurons” in your brain and about the concept of “Neuroplasticity”, then you must be aware that the mind and its thoughts can be hacked completely, and redirected in any particular direction you want.

Also, if i exclude the delusions that capitalism has created over the decades, then there isn’t really anything out there in the external world that’ll make you eternally happy if you achieve it.
Happiness is rather a mere byproduct. Which is produced when we do the things we love. Therefore, life is more about being a verb, above anything else.
Having said that, if you are in a position where you are not a free-soul yet, then you can use the concept of “Method-Acting” to imagine the classic person you’re going to be and the classy life you’re going to live, mate! Maybe imagine yourself as the next James Dean too.

You can use it to reframe your mind and act your way into your desired life of freedom.
Just frame your own world in your mind, and start ‘being’ it.
And all of a sudden, you’ll start to feel good even if you’re not in a commanding position in your life right now, which you’ll soon be if you have imagined yourself as that.
Afterall, it’s only the internal that matters and if we are in complete control of the internal with the right insights, then nothing external can deter us.
Moreover, if you’ve had a bad past, you can use your ideal self’s behaviour to respond in the ideal way to the circumstances that once used to get to you. This way you’ll even have rewired your reactions to your past and sucked all the emotional energy out of the bad experiences, providing a positive, desired response to anything that comes your way.
I have used the Method Acting analogy because it also fits in with human psychology.
If you’re controlling all your responses, thinking of it all like a movie, then no matter what happens, no one can rob you of your peace. Since you’re always in control, internally in the mind. Acting your way.
Life will always be that way. At times in control and mostly not.
But your attitude is always under your own command.
And you can make sure to have fun on this life trip come what may.
As the holocaust survivor, neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor E Frankl once said, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms — to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”
For
“He who has a ‘why’ to live,
can bear
almost anyhow!”
“And have fun in any circumstance that life throws at him.”
Well, i said this last bit. But i guess it’s fine.
